    NOTES:
Ghost in the Machine is the 4th studio album by The Police. It marked a shift from their earlier reggae-rock sound, incorporating heavier use of keyboards, synthesizers, and saxophone, reflecting a denser, more electronic sound. The title is inspired by Arthur Koestler’s 1967 book The Ghost in the Machine, exploring the mind-body relationship, which influenced Sting’s lyrical themes.
Often considered their masterpiece for its balance of pop accessibility and experimental depth, it marked their transition to global stardom before Synchronicity (1983).
