Found this rare booklet amid much family ephemera at my late mother’s apartment. My estimation given what it was with is that it belonged to someone on my maternal grandmother’s side around the early 1900s.
It’s truly attractive and one-of-a-kind. A piece of nature from way back when, preserved for a century. Pricing reflects this. We’ll see what happens.

“Laura was interested in mounting and classifying sea mosses that she collected from the local waters around the Vineyard. After 1912, Laura opened a small antique discover and tea room at her home nicknamed "The Bungalow" on South Summer Street in Edgartown. Here she sold greeting cards, picture frames, albums, and books of these sea mosses.”
