Dante (1265-1321) was an Italian poet and writer who was born in Florence. He is exceptionally known for his poem La Divina Commedia (The Divine Comedy) which was divided into 3 sections: Inferno, Purgatory and Paradiso.

Giotto was an Italian painter and architect. He was the Father of the Renaissance, a movement from 2 dimensional medieval art to more naturalistic and realistic portrayal of figures and scenes.

This elegant portrait is uniquely framed within an antique wood plaque, accented with copper columnar detailing and ledge. Measures 8" long, 4.75" wide and 1" deep. Lovely addition to a gallery wall or striking displayed on it's own.
