This is a vintage quilted vest.
The fact that it's made in the USA is a nice bonus.

Personally, I think it's easier to wear than a down vest because it's quilted.
The corduroy and nylon color blocking is also a superb design.
The high neck is so high that it covers your chin when you button it up. It's incredibly thermal.

In spring and autumn, you can wear it over a shirt or sweatshirt.
Since it's quilted and not as bulky as down, you can also layer it under an outer coat in winter.

The zipper is a bit inexpensive, but that makes it easier to wear without worrying about it, which is actually a good thing.
